UV Flatbed Printers — MO-180 & MO-240

Objects up to 8 in. thick

— a production UV flatbed that takes finished goods and parts, with a choice of two bed sizes and three ink chemistries.

The MO Series prints directly onto objects up to 8 in. thick at 1,200 dpi. Both models run EUV5, EUV-H or V-BOND ink across up to eight channels, so the same machine covers gloss, white and primer work. Choose an 18 × 12 in. bed on the MO-180, or 24 × 18 in. on the MO-240.

Eight Ink Channels

Gloss, white and primer without a swap

Run up to eight colours — CMYK with gloss, white, orange and red — or trade channels for double white, double gloss or primer. Because the configuration covers texture and opacity in one pass, jobs that would need two runs finish in one.

Three Ink Chemistries

Match the ink to the substrate

The MO Series takes EUV5, EUV-H or V-BOND. That choice matters when a job moves from promotional goods to industrial parts, since adhesion and flexibility requirements change with the material.

Production Handling

Built for objects, not sheets

The bed accepts pieces up to 8 in. thick at 17.6 lb, and a 7-inch display drives setup. An optional rotary rack adds cylindrical items, so bottles and tumblers run on the same machine as flat goods.

MO-240

Finished goods, parts and awkward shapes up to 8 in. thick — flat or, with the rotary rack, cylindrical.

A four-step production workflow

Roland DG Connect Designer, VersaWorks 7, and the BY2-20 work together as one connected design-to-print workflow.

Prepare the file

Build the artwork, including any white or gloss layers, and send the job through VersaWorks.

Load the object

Place the piece on the bed, or mount cylindrical items on the optional rotary rack.

Set up on the display

The 7-inch display handles height and print-area setup, so operators work at the machine rather than the workstation.

Print and cure

The built-in UV lamp cures as the job runs, so pieces come off the bed ready to handle or pack.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the MO-180 and the MO-240?

Bed size. The MO-180 prints 18 × 12 in.; the MO-240 prints 24 × 18 in. and takes objects to 25.1 × 19.2 in. Both clear 8 in. of height and run the same ink options at 1,200 dpi, so the choice comes down to the largest piece you need to fit.

Which ink should I choose?

The MO Series accepts EUV5, EUV-H and V-BOND. EUV5 suits general personalisation, while EUV-H and V-BOND target industrial work where adhesion and flexibility on difficult substrates matter more. Tell us the material and we will advise.

Can it print on bottles and cylindrical items?

Yes, with the optional rotary rack. That mounts the object and rotates it as the head prints, so tumblers and bottles run on the same machine as flat goods.

What does the eight-channel configuration buy me?

Gloss, white and primer alongside CMYK, plus orange and red for a wider gamut. Because texture and opacity are available in the same pass, work that would otherwise need a second run finishes in one.

Does it need special ventilation?

A ULT filtration stand is available for both models in Standard and Basic configurations, with a prefilter and an activated-carbon main filter for gas and odours. Whether you need it depends on your ink choice and room.
