EUV-H
Hard-Surface UV Ink — 750 ml Pouches & 1 Litre Bottles
— EUV-H cannot be mixed with EUV-5 or V-BOND and there is no field conversion, so the ink set is decided when the machine is specified.
EUV-H is Roland's hard-surface UV ink, built for industrial and hard-goods decoration rather than general-purpose work. It lays a harder film than EUV-5 or V-BOND, with stronger abrasion and solvent resistance and — used with primer and proper surface preparation — markedly better adhesion on glass and metal. It is also formulated without Ni, SVHC and CMR substances, and carries a lower odour profile than V-BOND.

A harder film that survives handling
EUV-H is formulated for products that get picked up, wiped, cleaned and used. Where a general-purpose UV ink scuffs, the harder film holds its finish through repeated handling — which is what separates a saleable decorated product from a returned one.
Stands up to solvents and cleaning
Improved chemical and solvent resistance compared with general-purpose UV platforms, so decorated parts survive the cleaning regimes and incidental chemical exposure normal in manufacturing and industrial environments.
Adhesion where UV normally struggles
Glass and metal are the substrates that defeat most UV inks. With proper surface preparation and primer, EUV-H holds — Roland's own testing rates adhesion on glass sheet, aluminium sheet and PETG as excellent using CMYK plus primer.
Formulated without Ni, SVHC or CMR substances
Expected to meet applicable toy-safety standards, which matters when the decorated item is a toy, a cosmetics package or anything else where the buyer's compliance team has a view. On those jobs the ink's safety profile is part of winning the work.
Lower odour than V-BOND
A lower-odour profile makes EUV-H easier to live with in a small production room, a school, a retail space or any shop where the machine sits near people all day.
Supports UV-DTF work
EUV-H can be used for UV-DTF applications. Print settings and layer structure should be confirmed against the specific media, transfer film and required finish before committing a production run.
Choose your model
The pouch format, used on the VersaOBJECT MO Series and the IO-300. Available in cyan, magenta, yellow, black, gloss, white and primer. Roland's recommended configuration is CMYK plus white, gloss and primer.
The bottle format, used on the RC-300 Series, in the same seven channels. Cleaning liquid (ESL5P-CL, 500 ml) is required for installation and is not supplied in the box — order it with the initial ink set.
Where EUV-H earns its place
Rigid and semi-rigid substrates — glass, metal, acrylic, polycarbonate, ABS and coated PET — decorated for products that will be handled and cleaned.

Frequently asked questions
Which machines take EUV-H?
The VersaOBJECT MO-180 and MO-240 and the IO-300 use 750 ml pouches; the RC-300 Series uses 1 litre bottles. If you are pairing it with something else, ask us and we will confirm with Roland first.
Can it print directly onto glass and metal?
Yes, with proper surface preparation and primer — Roland rates adhesion on glass sheet and aluminium as excellent in its own testing. Final adhesion should still be validated against your specific material and how the finished item will be used.
Can I switch an existing machine to EUV-H?
No. EUV-H cannot be mixed with EUV-5 or V-BOND, and there is currently no field conversion process, so the ink set has to be chosen when a machine is specified. This is the single most important thing to get right up front.
Should I choose EUV-H over EUV-5 or V-BOND?
Only if durability leads. EUV-5 suits general promotional and sign work across mixed media; V-BOND suits rigid substrates, interior signage and volume Braille. EUV-H is the choice for industrial parts, glass and metal where chemical and abrasion resistance matter more than flexibility or speed.
Does it work for UV-DTF?
Yes. Confirm print settings and layer structure against your media, transfer film and required finish before committing to a production run.
Do I need primer?
On difficult substrates such as glass and metal, strongly recommended — primer is central to achieving EUV-H's adhesion performance. Primer is available as one of the seven channels.
