RC-300 Series
UV Cylindrical Printers — RC-300 & RC-300c
— the object spins as graphics print 360° seamlessly in a continuous spiral, for sharper quality and faster output than multi-pass rotary printing.
The first Japanese-engineered and built cylindrical printers on the market. Compact, easy to set up, and easy to use — with the high throughput, print quality, and reliability Roland DG devices are known for. Prints on empty and pre-filled objects up to 6.6 lbs.
EUV-H ink from $179.99 / liter. Call 800-268-6577 or email sales@printfinish.com.
High quality at production speed
The object is gripped by a motor-controlled attachment and rotates as it prints, so graphics wrap 360° in one continuous spiral — more precise and faster than step-by-step multi-pass rotary printing.
Consistent output on uneven surfaces
Two industrial GEN 6 printheads jet ink up to 10 mm, while a laser displacement sensor measures head-to-surface distance and adjusts jetting for height differences up to 7 mm — across parallel, tapered, convex, and concave shapes.
Fast setup, repeatable changeover
A 7" full-color touch panel takes the object’s diameter and length to set base position, stores up to 50 presets, and pairs with an LED pointer for print-area alignment and a head gap detector that helps prevent printhead crashes.
For opaque cylindrical objects — drinkware, cans, jars, and tumblers. Ships with a set of 10 fixtures for common open-top items.
Adds printing on clear and translucent objects, plus a fixture for bottle tops — for glass bottles, barware, and transparent packaging.
Print directly onto the object
Parallel, tapered, convex, and concave shapes — from 1.18 to 14 in. long and Φ1.77 to Φ5 in. across, on empty or pre-filled items.
A four-step production workflow
Built for all skill levels with minimal manual operation, reducing user error and costly waste.
Design
Lay out artwork on a standard square or rectangle artboard — VersaWorks 7 adjusts the graphic for 360° seamless printing, including tapered shapes.
Mount
Fit the object into one of the 10 bundled fixtures; the motor-controlled attachment grips it directly for accurate rotation.
Set
Enter the object’s diameter and length on the 7" touch panel, or recall one of 50 stored presets for repeat jobs.
Print & Cure
The object spins as the printheads jet and the 300 mm UV-LED lamp cures — finished parts come off ready to handle.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the RC-300 and the RC-300c?
Both share the same chassis, printheads, and specifications. The RC-300c adds the ability to print on clear and translucent objects — glass bottles, barware, transparent packaging — and includes an extra fixture for bottle tops. Safety certifications were issued under the model name "RC-300," so all machine nameplates read RC-300, including RC-300c units.
What size and shape objects can it print on?
Objects from 1.18 to 14 in. long (printable length 1.18 to 11.8 in.) and Φ1.77 to Φ5 in. in diameter, weighing up to 6.6 lbs. Parallel, tapered, convex, and concave shapes are supported, with a maximum taper angle of 10°.
Can it print on pre-filled bottles and cans?
Yes. The RC-300 Series prints on both empty and pre-filled objects up to 6.6 lbs without affecting the contents, and an LED pointer on the carriage makes it easy to align artwork on pre-labeled items for post-production customization.
How is helical printing different from a rotary attachment?
With a rotary device, the object rotates by friction and prints in multi-pass, step-by-step sections. With helical printing, a motor-controlled attachment grips the object directly and spins it while the graphic prints 360° in one continuous spiral — giving more precise quality and faster output.
What ink does it use, and what does it cost?
EUV-H ink in 1-liter bottles at $179.99 per liter ($0.179/ml), in seven colors across eight channels (CMYK, white ×2, gloss, and primer). ESL5P-CL cleaning liquid (500 ml pouch) is required for installation and must be ordered with the initial ink set — it is not included in the box. Ink expires 12 months after manufacture.
What software is included?
VersaWorks 7 for RIP and print management (Windows and macOS), Roland DG Connect Designer for artwork, and Roland DG Connect plus Connect HUB for cloud monitoring. VersaWorks adjusts artwork laid out on a standard square or rectangle artboard for 360° seamless printing, including on tapered shapes.
What is included in the box?
The UT-300S stand, a set of 10 fixtures matching common open-top items (the RC-300c also includes a bottle-top fixture), and a UV light meter for measuring UV leakage during setup to help prevent printhead damage.
What warranty and service are available?
A standard one-year limited warranty covering defects in materials — including printheads — and workmanship under normal use. An extended warranty is available at 10% of MSRP annually, with all parts and up to two printheads included. Installation and service are performed by an authorized Roland DGA dealership or through Roland Care Onsite Services.
