The XP-640 is a 64-inch eco-solvent roll-to-roll printer built for production sign and graphics work. Eight ink slots take either a double CMYK configuration for throughput or an eight-colour set that reaches oranges, greens and reds outside a standard CMYK gamut. Banner output runs to 76.1 m²/h, and a take-up unit is included as standard.

Ink Configuration

Eight slots, two ways to run them

Load double CMYK when throughput matters, or CMYK with light black, orange, green and red when gamut does. The eight-colour set reaches saturated oranges, greens and reds that four-colour work cannot hit, which matters for brand-matched graphics.

Productivity

Up to 76.1 m²/h on banner

Double CMYK reaches 76.1 m²/h on banner at maximum speed and 22.5 m²/h on vinyl in standard mode. The eight-colour configuration runs 38.1 m²/h and 15.2 m²/h respectively — the trade you make for the wider gamut.

Media Handling

64-inch rolls up to 99 lbs

Media from 259 to 1,625 mm wide and up to 1 mm thick, on rolls to 45 kg (99 lbs). A take-up unit is included rather than optional, so unattended roll-to-roll production works out of the box.

Up to 1,200 × 1,800 dpi

Fine text, small logos and gradients hold together at close viewing distance, so the same machine covers both long-range banner work and detail that will be read from a few feet away.

GREENGUARD Gold TH ink

TH ink carries UL GREENGUARD Gold certification for low VOC emissions into indoor air — the standard usually asked for on graphics installed in schools, healthcare and other occupied interiors.

Drying

Optional DU3-64 dryer

The DU3-64 dryer is available as an option where faster handling off the roll is needed, particularly on heavier ink loads and less absorbent media.

Should I run double CMYK or the eight-colour set?

Double CMYK roughly doubles throughput — 76.1 m²/h against 38.1 m²/h on banner. The eight-colour set adds light black, orange, green and red for colours a CMYK gamut cannot reach. Choose by whether your work is volume-led or brand-colour-led.

Is a take-up unit included?

Yes, the take-up unit is standard rather than an option, so unattended roll-to-roll production is available without an additional purchase. The DU3-64 dryer is the option.

What media will it handle?

Rolls from 259 to 1,625 mm (10.2 to 64 in.) wide, up to 1 mm thick, weighing up to 45 kg (99 lbs).

Can I switch ink configurations later?
