One of the few Roland inks offering a true metallic channel.

Eco-Sol MAX 2 is the long-serving eco-solvent ink behind the BN-20A, the BN2 desktops and the VS, XF and XR wide-format machines. Alongside process colour it offers light inks in 440 ml for smoother gradients, plus white and a genuine metallic silver in 220 ml — the latter still one of the more distinctive effects available straight off a Roland printer.

ESL4-MT prints a genuine metallic rather than a simulated grey, and can be overprinted with process colour to produce metallic golds, bronzes and pearl effects.

Light cyan, light magenta and light black smooth the transitions that a four-colour set tends to break up, particularly in skies and skin tones.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get light inks in 220 ml?

No. Light cyan, light magenta and light black are 440 ml only. White and metallic silver run the other way — 220 ml only.

Why is metallic silver so much more expensive?

ESL4-MT is $334.99 USD / $489.99 CAD against $113.99 / $159.99 for standard colours. It carries genuine metallic pigment, which is both costly and difficult to formulate for an inkjet head.

Is ESL4 the same as Eco-Sol MAX?

No. Eco-Sol MAX is ESL3 and Eco-Sol MAX 2 is ESL4. They are separate inks for different machines and should not be mixed.
