ECO-UV4 Ink

UV Ink for VersaUV LEF, LEJ and LEC — 220 ml and 500 ml

For earlier VersaUV

Current LG, MO, CO and BD machines run ECO-UV5 instead.

ECO-UV4 is the UV ink for the earlier VersaUV line — the LEF-12 and LEF2 benchtop flatbeds, the LEJ-640 hybrid and the LEC and LEC2 roll machines. It prints CMYK with white and gloss, cures hard enough for immediate handling, and remains the correct ink for those printers. Newer Roland UV hardware uses ECO-UV5.

Support

Keeps earlier VersaUV running

The LEF-12, LEF2-200, LEJ-640 and LEC machines are still working assets in plenty of shops. EUV4 is the ink that keeps them in production.

Channels

White and gloss included

White for dark and clear substrates, gloss for selective varnish and raised texture — the effects the VersaUV line was built around.

Cure

Handle straight off the bed

UV cure means finished pieces come off ready to pack, with no drying or outgassing time to schedule around.

Note

Superseded on new hardware

If you are specifying ink for a current BD, CO, LG or MO machine, ECO-UV5 is the correct choice — EUV4 is not compatible with those printers.

Frequently asked questions

Is ECO-UV4 discontinued?

It remains available and is the correct ink for the LEF, LEJ and LEC machines. It is superseded in the sense that current Roland UV hardware uses ECO-UV5 — but if you run an earlier VersaUV, EUV4 is what it takes.

Can I use ECO-UV5 in an LEF-12?

No. The two are not interchangeable. Check your machine against the compatibility list before ordering.

What is the difference between EUV and EUV4?

EUV4 is the later formulation. Roland's Canadian price list carries both at the same 220 ml price, and both serve the LEC and LEF families.
