The VersaOBJECT CO-300i-F2 prints directly onto finished objects and rigid stock up to 9.5 in. thick and 640 lbs. Eight ink channels cover CMYK plus red, orange, white and gloss, with primer available in a seven-colour configuration, and VersaWorks 7 generates the white, gloss and primer layers in the RIP rather than leaving them to be built by hand.

The bed takes work up to 30 in. wide, 9.5 in. tall and 640 lbs, across a movable length of 59 in. That covers finished goods and awkward shapes — cases, panels, housings, machinery parts — not just flat sheet stock.

Ink

Eight channels including red and orange

ECO-UV EUV5 runs cyan, magenta, yellow, black, red, orange, white and gloss, or a seven-colour set with primer. Red and orange reach brand colours a CMYK gamut cannot, and primer improves adhesion on difficult substrates.

Workflow

VersaWorks 7 builds the special layers

White, gloss and primer layers are generated automatically in the RIP rather than prepared by hand in the artwork. On a machine whose value is spot gloss and white underbase, that removes the step most likely to go wrong.

The control panel is in the table

The touch panel is integrated into a redesigned ergonomic table, so there is no separate control tower to find room for. That matters in the production spaces this machine is built for, where floor area is the scarce resource.

Anti-static bar as standard

An anti-static bar is included, making loading easier and improving printing accuracy — static on rigid substrates pulls ink off target and attracts the dust that shows up as defects.

Place the work

Build the job

VersaWorks 7 generates white, gloss and primer layers in the RIP, so the special layers are set up once rather than drawn by hand.

Print and cure

UV-LED lamps cure as the carriage runs, across a movable length of 59 in. at up to 1,440 dpi.

Unload

Output is handleable straight off the bed, and the automated cleaning cycle keeps the printhead ready for the next job.

What do red and orange inks add?

Reach. A CMYK gamut cannot hit many brand reds and oranges. Adding those channels means brand-critical work matches without a spot-colour workaround — which is often the difference between winning the job and not.

Do I have to build the white and gloss layers myself?

No. VersaWorks 7 generates white, gloss and primer layers directly in the RIP, so the special layers are produced from the artwork rather than prepared by hand.

How much space does it need?
