The TY-300i prints direct-to-film transfers for cotton, polyester, denim, nylon and rayon, on both light and dark garments. Two staggered heads run CMYK on one and four white channels on the other, and integrated contour and sheet cutting finish the roll without a second device. Pair it with the RDTFS800 shaker for a complete powder, cure and take-up line.

White Ink System

Four white cartridges, switched automatically

White carries the heaviest load in DTF work — Roland puts consumption at roughly seven times the other channels. Head 2 runs four white cartridges and switches between them on its own, so a long white-heavy run continues uninterrupted rather than stopping for a cartridge change.

S-PG2 Ink

Vivid transfers that survive washing

S-PG2 inks lay down rich, saturated colour with fine detail, and the cured transfer resists cracking and fading. Yield is high and pretreatment needs are reduced, which keeps consumable cost per garment down.

Cutting

Contour and sheet cutting built in

The machine takes the standard range of Roland DG blade holders and CAMM-1 blades, and cuts contours driven from VersaWorks. Sheet cut and perforated sheet cut separate finished jobs on the roll, so a run can be torn apart by hand without trimming.

Companion Unit

RDTFS800 completes the line

Film leaves the printer and feeds straight into the RDTFS800 for powdering, curing and take-up. Roland supplies matched settings for every print mode, and the shaker is sold separately — it is the unit recommended for the Canadian market.

Maintenance

Automated cleaning, user-replaceable parts

Automated cleaning cycles and user-replaceable maintenance components hold output consistent and cut downtime. The drain bottle reports its own level by weight detection rather than needing a visual check.

VersaWorks 7 and DG Connect

VersaWorks 7 is included — five print queues and five hot folders, a predictive ink calculator, and control of up to four Roland DG devices. Roland DG Connect adds cloud monitoring of job and machine state.

Rip the job

VersaWorks 7 handles colour and layout, and the predictive ink calculator estimates consumption before the run starts.

Print the film

Head 1 lays CMYK and Head 2 lays white, at up to 1,200 dpi across a 762 mm roll.

Powder and cure

The film feeds into the RDTFS800, which applies adhesive powder, recycles the excess and melts it onto the film under heat.

Press the garment

The cooled, wound roll comes off the take-up unit ready for heat pressing onto the garment.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the shaker as well as the printer?

Yes, for a working DTF line. The TY-300i prints the film; the RDTFS800 applies and cures the adhesive powder and winds the finished roll. They are sold separately, and Roland supplies matched settings for pairing them in any print mode. Plan power for both: the shaker needs its own 200-240 V single-phase 16 A circuit and draws 4,000 W in operation.

Why four white cartridges?

DTF uses far more white than colour — roughly seven times as much on this machine. Four cartridges with automatic switching mean a white-heavy run continues when one empties, instead of pausing for a change.

What fabrics can I transfer onto?

Cotton, polyester, denim, nylon and rayon, on both light and dark garments. DTF transfers do not need the separate dark-garment process that some other methods require.

Can it cut as well as print?

Yes. Contour cutting runs from VersaWorks using standard Roland DG blade holders and CAMM-1 blades, and sheet cut and perforated sheet cut separate finished jobs along the roll.

What power does it need?

A 100-120 or 220-240 V a.c. supply at 50/60 Hz, drawing 6.4 A or 3.0 A respectively, and roughly 840 W while running. Roland does not publish dimensions or weight for this model — ask us and we will confirm before delivery.
