TR3 is the third-generation TrueVIS eco-solvent ink, made for the XG-640 and the VG4 series. It widens the gamut over TR2 — orange, green and red extend the reach into colours eco-solvent has always struggled with — while holding the scratch and outdoor durability sign work depends on. Pouches are 500 ml; white is supplied in 220 ml.

Orange, green and red push past what CMYK alone reaches, which matters most on brand colours — the corporate greens and reds eco-solvent has historically approximated rather than matched.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use TR3 in a VG3 or SG3?

No. TR3 is specified for the XG-640 and the VG4 series. The SG, SG2, SG3, VG, VG2 and VG3 machines run TR2 ink, and the two are not interchangeable.

Why is white a different size?

White is supplied in 220 ml rather than 500 ml because it is used for backing and underbase layers rather than as a process colour, so consumption is much lower.

Do orange and green cost more?

In Canada, yes — orange and green are $189.99 CAD against $179.99 CAD for the other 500 ml colours. The US list price is the same $129.99 across all 500 ml pouches.

Does TR3 need laminating?

Not for many outdoor applications. Lamination extends life and adds abrasion resistance, and is still worth specifying for vehicle wraps and anything handled often.
